The former quarterback of American football player Robert Chadwick Berry and professionally known as Bob Berry. Throughout his twelve seasons in the National Football League (NFL), he showed class.
Berry participated in collegiate football at the University of Oregon, where he guided the Ducks to three straight winning seasons while earning three letters. After his senior year, he was chosen for the first team of All-Americans and participated in the East-West Shrine Game and Hula Bowl.
Berry took part in NFL contests for the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons. He spent the majority of his career as a backup quarterback, playing in front of Fran Tarkenton and Joe Kapp. Berry played with the Falcons and was selected to play in one Pro Bowl in 1969.
Berry participated on three Super Bowl teams while playing for the Minnesota Vikings in his second season.
In 1992 and 1987, respectively, Berry received inductions into the University of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame.
